Fundraising

Our new Shishu Bhavan was purchased in 2009 with a vision of making this a ‘Centre of Excellence’ where our balako can really thrive with different activities and events. We will be able to offer space to our local community groups for their activities too. This will not only strengthen the Shishukunj name but we will create greater awareness and encourage more balako to benefit.

In order to achieve our vision we need to undertake a whole renovation exercise. Most of us know, this comes at a huge cost. It is estimated that our proposed renovation will cost somewhere in the region of £600,000. This is a large sum, but together we can raise this:

A fundraising strategy has been designed – this will include:

• Applying for grants – we are currently seeking anyone with relevant experience to help in this area
